Description

Many WOC nurses state that they “don’t do continence care” and as a result many are choosing not to certify (or recertify) in the area of continence care.  In addition, many WOC nurses perceive continence care to be “high tech” and not something they can incorporate into their practice.  This session will focus on the many aspects of continence care that can be easily and effectively incorporated into daily practice for the WOC nurse, and ways in which incorporation of continence care can impact on both patient care outcomes and WOC nurse marketability.  The discussion will specifically address ways in which continence care differs based on care setting.
