This session will present ostomy patient cases and involve the audience in discussion on assessment, plan of care and outcomes.  The audience will be asked to participate in the case discussions which will allow the participants exposure to various approaches to stoma patient management.  The cases presented may be similar to cases presented as nightmares in other sessions, and will focus on management strategies that the audience can consider when managing similar patients. Participants are asked to come ready to discuss with the audience their successful land unsuccessful management techniques with similar patient populations.


Learning Objectives

The participant will be able to discuss two management strategies to manage a patient with an unusual peristomal presentation.
